Jordan Smith is heading back to The Voice. The Season 9 winner is returning for the Season 29 All-Star Competition, where he will represent Adam Levine in sing-offs against five other past contestants.
The matchup matters because the competition is not just about bragging rights. The coach who earns the most sing-off wins will get an extra artist on the team in the Season 29 Finals, with CeeLo Green set to judge the performances.
Smith first won Season 9 in 2015 and has kept pursuing music ever since. He and Kristen Denny met at summer camp in 2012, got engaged on New Year's Day 2016 and married in June 2016. Denny is a worship pastor at Near Church in Kentucky and previously worked as a speech language pathologist.

The pair marked nine years of marriage in 2025, when Smith wrote that nine years with the most beautiful woman in the world only kept getting better and called their life together an adventure. Denny said they had traveled across the world, but there was nowhere she would rather be than on the couch at home with him. In February 2026, Smith appeared to confirm they share a daughter after posting a photo of Kristen with a toddler and captioning it, “My valentines.”

The return gives Smith another national-stage moment while he continues building a career beyond his original win. It also puts him back in a format that could shift the balance of the season, since each sing-off can help determine which coach gets the extra finalist on the road to the Season 29 crown.
