ABC unveiled its fall 2026-2027 primetime schedule on May 12, and for the first time in network history it renewed its entire scripted lineup. The abc fall 2026 schedule keeps America’s Funniest Home Videos at 7:00 p.m. and says all episodes will stream the next day on Hulu.
Craig Erwich said the network enters the season “from a position of undeniable strength,” a reflection of how ABC is leaning on a lineup that has stayed intact rather than being rebuilt. The network also said it will increase its original scripted slate in midseason for the second year in a row, a sign that ABC is pushing more of its growth into the back half of the season instead of loading everything into the fall launch.
The biggest addition is The Rookie: North, a new series arriving in midseason. It stars Jay Ellis, Janet Montgomery, Karen Fukuhara, Chris Sullivan, Froy Gutierrez, Mya Lowe and Malik Watson. said new seasons of The Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise, High Potential, Shifting Gears, The Rookie and Will Trent will all debut in 2027.
That release also draws a line between what ABC is promising now and what it is holding for later. Fall premiere dates will be announced at a later date, leaving the schedule broad but not yet locked to the calendar. Erwich said the company’s focus is to make the best shows on television and get them to audiences however they want to watch, adding that the strategy continues to power ABC and Hulu through legacy hits and breakout series alike.
For ABC, the unusual part is not just the size of the lineup but the decision to keep every scripted show in place at once. The broader test now is whether that continuity can keep delivering when the network starts rolling out its 2027 seasons and the new midseason spinoff, turning a stable fall into a much longer runway.
