CANNES, France — Demi Moore arrived at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival on May 12 in a custom polka-dot dress from Jacquemus, appearing before the opening ceremony as the festival was only just getting underway. A breeze caught the dress and helped show off its 3D features as Moore moved into the spotlight.
Moore is joining Ruth Negga, Stellan Skarsgård, Chloé Zhao and other film figures on the festival jury, and her first appearance set the tone for a long stretch of Riviera dressing ahead. After posing with her fellow jurors, she was photographed alone in Look 69 from Jacquemus's Fall 2026 collection, styled by Brad Goreski in a strapless little white dress with primary colors — red, yellow, blue and black — across the bodice, skirt and peplum. She carried a $1,690 Small Valérie Bag, wore white cat-eye sunglasses from Morgenthal Frederics and finished with Jacquemus's python-printed Tourni Pumps.
The look fit neatly into Cannes fashion history. Jacquemus's larger-than-life sun hats became a seaside staple at the festival in 2017, and both Anya Taylor-Joy and Bella Hadid wore Jacquemus at Cannes in 2024. For Moore, the label is still a relatively new name in her red carpet rotation, but the message was clear on day one: jury duty at Cannes comes with a fashion schedule that starts before the first screening does.
And that is what matters now. Moore is not there for a one-night premiere and then gone; as a jury member, she will keep showing up in the festival's public eye, which gives each appearance extra weight. Her May 12 arrival was less a teaser than a statement that Cannes fashion coverage has already started, with Moore squarely in the center of it.
