Kylie Jenner is heading into Coachella with a manicure that makes her fandom plain. On April 9, the 28-year-old shared a multicolor, bedazzled floral nail set inspired by Justin Bieber, then posted from her private jet on the way to weekend one with Stassie Karanikolaou and Victoria Villarroel.
Jenner put the theme in her own words, calling it “Bieberchella,” then added in a TikTok, “I’m Kylie,” and “And I’m excited to see Justin.” Bieber is set to headline the second day of Coachella on April 11, marking his first solo performance at the festival. The 32-year-old previewed what may be coming when he played an intimate concert at the Troubadour on April 4, mostly leaning on songs from SWAG and SWAG II, after saying on a Twitch livestream last October that he would likely work both projects into the set and fold in older songs where he could. He also said Coachella was a “safe space for him,” a description that now carries extra weight because this year’s appearance is not a guest spot but the main event.
The timing matters because weekend one starts on April 10, and Bieber’s run lands in the middle of a festival stretch that also includes Karol G on April 12, when she becomes the first Latina headliner at Coachella. Jenner is no stranger to the festival, but this year she is arriving with a very specific expectation: she is going to see Bieber, and Bieber is finally bringing a solo show to the stage that has long hosted him as a guest for other performers.
