has revealed he is a father, saying his son is almost two years old and has already changed the way he lives. The 30-year-old singer and actor made the disclosure in an interview with Pigeons & Planes shared .

“I just don’t party like that right now,” Fike said, adding, “I got a son, Rocket, he’s almost two.” He said the child motivates him to be stable and sober, to be better about his “debauchery and stuff,” and to write songs for people his age. He also said Rocket makes him want to acquire property for him to grow up in, stay close to his friends so he has friends to grow up with, and keep his reputation in shape so he can still go into school meetings without being shut out of the because he is “a psycho.”

The remarks add a new layer to a performer who has been candid about addiction struggles in the past. Fike, who plays Elliot on , also said his next album is “really straightforward” and that his music is still driven by instinct rather than calculation. “As much as I try to make it like, more intentional, it’s always just so instinctual,” he said. “I can’t help it, because I feel like that’s the best way to do it.”

That mix of domestic responsibility and restless creativity marks a clear shift from the version of Fike who broke through in the middle of chaos. He also said that during the period when was happening, he was barely equipped to handle recognition, adding that he lacked the communication skills and even the “CPU” to consciously process what was happening around him. The new picture he drew on April 7 is simpler. Fatherhood, he said, has made sobriety, stability and a more grounded life part of the work. The question now is whether that steadier frame carries into the album he says is coming next.
