PlayStation Plus is adding three games in May, giving subscribers a new trio of titles to download on May 5. The lineup brings Nine Sols, EA Sports FC 26 and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers to the service, while April’s monthly freebies remain available until May 4.
For players counting the days, the timing matters. The May drop also includes the PlayStation Plus Icons Pack, and the new games arrive as the current monthly selection — Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream — stays live for one more day before rolling off on May 4.
Nine Sols is the standout indie name in the group. The 2D action-platformer comes from Taiwanese studio RedCandleGames and launched in May 2024, where it drew accolades from Gamescom, Bitsummit, SXSW and other groups. It will be available to PS4 and PS5 subscribers, extending the reach of an award-winning sidescroller that blends Eastern fantasy, cyberpunk sensibilities and Sekiro-inspired combat.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers also joins the lineup, but only for PS5 subscribers. The soulslike RPG was released in July 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and it follows Wuchang, a lady pirate warrior who wakes up with amnesia in a world of monstrous creatures and a mysterious spreading disease. Developed by Chinese studio Leenzee and published by 505 Games, it is set in a dark-fantasy version of the Ming Dynasty.
EA Sports FC 26 rounds out the month across PS4 and PS5. The latest entry in the series formerly known as FIFA arrives with an overhauled UI and mechanics, new Live Challenges and more than 20,000 players across more than 750 clubs and national teams. That makes May’s PlayStation Plus offering unusually broad: an indie platformer, a major soccer simulator and a new action RPG, all landing on the same day.
For subscribers, the key date is straightforward. May 5 is when the new PlayStation Plus monthly games go live, and May 4 is the last chance to claim April’s lineup before it disappears. After that, May’s mix becomes the focus, with a sports giant, a difficult fantasy adventure and one of the year’s most praised indie releases all available at once.
