Wednesday will bring back a familiar kind of threat in Season 3, with two villains from the first two seasons returning as the series pushes Wednesday Addams into a search for her missing best friend Enid. Netflix is expected to release the next eight episodes in 2027.
The setup gives the new season a clear center: Wednesday’s hunt for Enid after she wolfed out at the end of Season 2. Hunter Doohan’s Tyler Galpin, revealed as a Hyde at the end of Season 1, is now under Isadora Capri’s wing, while Frances O’Connor’s Francoise Galpin was killed in the final moments of the Season 2 finale. Capri, played by Billie Piper, was later revealed to be a werewolf-Hyde hybrid who has been slowly building her own pack of outcasts and had already invited Tyler to join a secret, masterless Hyde community.
That means Season 3 is not just restoring old faces. It is also tying Wednesday’s next chapter to the show’s darker mythology, where alliances can shift fast and family wounds do not stay buried for long. The series, based on the classic Addams Family franchise, follows the eldest Addams daughter as she moves away from her parents and siblings, and the coming season is expected to keep both Wednesday Addams and her family in focus, with stories unfolding in and out of Nevermore Academy.
There is another thread waiting in the background. In the final scene of Season 2, Episode 8, footage showed Ophelia Frump locked away in a room in Hester Frump’s house, and Netflix later cast Eva Green in the role. Ophelia is Morticia Addams’ older sister and Wednesday’s aunt, which makes her return more than a simple character revival. It widens the family stakes just as Wednesday is heading into a season built around loss, pursuit and the consequences of who gets left behind.
Capri’s rise may prove as important as Tyler’s return. She was already confirmed for Season 3’s main cast, and her work building a pack of outcasts suggests the new episodes will not be content with a single villain or a single hunt. Wednesday has survived monsters before. What makes this next stretch different is that the people orbiting her are not only enemies; they are relatives, former allies and broken pieces of the same story, all headed toward the same 2027 return.
