Heidi Klum spent Wednesday morning walking around her swimming pool with her three dogs and then gave fans another look on Thursday, posting a photo of herself sunbathing with Fritz.
In the short Instagram clip, the 52-year-old wore a black triangle bikini top with high-cut bottoms, wrapped a towel around herself and finished the look with sunglasses and beachy waves. She captioned the post, “Best time of the day,” while the dogs — Uschi, Jäger and Fritz — stayed close by.
The poolside posts came just days after Klum appeared at the New York premiere of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” on Monday in a seafoam green, high-neck flowing gown and silver, open-toed heels. The quick change from red carpet to backyard quiet fits a pattern Klum has kept up for years: she has not hidden her comfort with her body, and she has said that plain as day.
“I grew up going to nude beaches with my parents, so I’m a nudist,” she told Ocean Drive magazine, according to a quote carried by KHOU-TV. She has also said, “I have no problems with nudity at all. I’m very free,” and added that when she goes to the beach, it is “in a very remote place where there are not a lot of people, and I like to go topless.” In January, she answered a fan question on Instagram with, “It’s just breasts.”
That openness has long been part of Klum’s public image. The “America’s Got Talent” judge, who is sometimes called “The Body,” has also said it was “no big deal” when she went topless during a vacation. This week’s posts do not mark a shift so much as a continuation: after a premiere night in New York, Klum returned to a familiar, unguarded pose by the pool, and she made it clear again that the camera is not changing how she presents herself.
