The couple shares , 10, and , 7. In May 2021, Duff said they felt married in a lot of ways and said they had long envisioned getting married in Texas, adding that the idea of a big wedding dress had already changed as they got older and their children became part of the picture.

That earlier plan never came to pass after Duff and Rosenberg postponed their wedding when they learned she was pregnant with Ryan. What was once framed as a delayed ceremony became, over time, a long engagement that stretched across nearly a decade and a half, even as Duff said both of them had talked more often about marriage once they were living in Texas.
