Haylie Duff and Matt Rosenberg have split after being engaged for 12 years, ending a relationship that had lasted since he proposed on April Fools Day in April 2014. A representative for Duff said Monday that the pair ended things around the first of the year and asked for privacy while they protect their two young daughters.
The couple shares Ryan Ava Erhard, 10, and Lulu Gray, 7. In May 2021, Duff said they felt married in a lot of ways and said they had long envisioned getting married in Texas, adding that the idea of a big wedding dress had already changed as they got older and their children became part of the picture.
That earlier plan never came to pass after Duff and Rosenberg postponed their wedding when they learned she was pregnant with Ryan. What was once framed as a delayed ceremony became, over time, a long engagement that stretched across nearly a decade and a half, even as Duff said both of them had talked more often about marriage once they were living in Texas.
The split leaves unanswered only the next step, and the answer matters most to the people the couple said they are trying to shield. For now, Duff has made her position plain: the relationship is over, and privacy comes first for the sake of her daughters.
