Jeff Creighton will step in against Jason Jackson on May 16 after Lorenz Larkin was removed from the fight because of an injury, Most Valuable Promotions said Monday. The replacement bout lands on a Netflix card centered on Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.
Creighton, 12-2-1, enters with momentum after beating Diego Bianchini in LFA in November 2025. He was also on the TUF 33 cast before this booking, beat Andreeas Binder early in the tournament, then lost to Rodrigo Sezinando in the next round and was eliminated. After that run, he was not offered a UFC contract and returned to LFA.
Jackson, a former Bellator welterweight champion, is trying to steady himself after a difficult stretch. He lost a close split decision to Thad Jean in his last PFL outing and has gone 1-2 in his past three fights. One of those defeats came against Ramazan Kurmagomedov, who beat Jackson in a decision that cost him the Bellator title.
The switch gives Jackson a new opponent, but it also changes the shape of a card built around marquee names. The event also lists Francis Ngannou vs. Philipe Lins as the co-main event and Nate Diaz vs. Mike Perry as the third fight, though the full bout order has not yet been revealed.
For Jackson, the assignment is a chance to get back on track against a replacement opponent who has already shown he can survive a long qualifying grind and still win. For Creighton, it is the kind of short-notice opening that can turn a regional run into a much bigger night.
