The reception ended with the newlyweds calling it “the best night with all of our favorite people,” after a weekend built around friends, family and dance-floor energy.

Hoofnagle, a marketing specialist at , wore the Wtoo by Watters Charlotte Strapless Basque-Waist A-Line Lace Wedding Gown from and carried a cascading bouquet of white calla lilies and orchids. Darnold wore a custom suit before later changing into a blue velvet Tom Ford jacket, while Hoofnagle changed into a second look, the Isabelle from Rosie Etienne Bridal.

The wedding followed a classic black-and-white style, with guests asked to wear all-black black-tie attire. Among those attending were and , along with Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo, underscoring the celebration’s mix of football and celebrity names. The festivities began with a California Coastal Citrus Welcome Party and closed with a Limoncello Farewell Brunch.

The ceremony was officiated by Darnold’s marketing agent, , and the couple exchanged handwritten vows without phones in the room. Hoofnagle said she had first been drawn to Anthropologie’s wedding collection in college, and recalled walking by the store, spotting her dress in the window and calling her mother and sister to come try it on in Orange County. At the reception, the pair shared their first dance to “It Takes a Woman” by Chris Stapleton as Modern Retrospect, a ten-piece band, played through the night.

Guests were served a three-course dinner with sea bass and New York steak as entrées, part of a weekend the couple described as “a fun, energetic, upbeat weekend surrounded by friends and family from all chapters of our lives as individuals and a couple.” The biggest change for the quarterback and his bride may be the simplest one they put into words: “Having a partner for life.”
