During Fanatics Football Week, he called professional wrestling “cute,” “scripted” and “fake,” and the response spread quickly through the locker room, drawing reactions from Nikki Bella, Charlotte Flair and CM Punk. On Sports Illustrated, WWE Superstars were later asked to describe Brady in one word if he did not show up at Allegiant Stadium for WrestleMania 42 weekend, and the answers were blunt: Alba Fyre said “Chicken,” Nia Jax said “Botox,” Trick Williams said “Deflategate,” and Raquel Rodriguez said, “He is scared,” then, “He better show his face.”
That makes Brady’s latest turn on Logan Paul’s show more than a casual media stop. Paul is a current WWE Superstar and former WWE U.S. Champion, and he has a Six-Man Tag Team match on Day 1 of WrestleMania 42. His podcast appearance gave Brady a chance to dial down a feud that was growing louder by the day, even as wrestling fans wondered whether the whole exchange was simply part of the build to the show in Las Vegas.
Wrestling and football have crossed paths at WrestleMania before.
