Tom Sandoval posted a photo of himself surrounded by cameras on Instagram on April 1, then quickly had to explain what he meant. In the caption, he wrote that he and Victoria Lee Robinson were excited about this season of The Valley, before later clarifying in the comments that he meant they were excited to watch Tom Schwartz on the show.

“What I was trying to say is, [Victoria Lee Robinson] and I are both really excited to watch [Tom Schwartz] on this season of The Valley!!” Sandoval wrote, turning a simple post into an awkward but affectionate correction. He also said Schwartz’s new relationship with Kiana Carroll looked promising, calling her “awesome” and adding, “Dude, I am so stoked. I have secondhand excitement.”

The exchange lands as The Valley Season 3 gets underway on Bravo, with new episodes airing Wednesdays at 8/7c and streaming the next day on Peacock. This season brings back Danny Booko, Nia Sanchez Booko, Luke Broderick, Kristen Doute, Jason Caperna, Janet Caperna, Brittany Cartwright, Jasmine Goode, Jesse Lally, Michelle Saniei and Zack Wickham, while Vanderpump Rules alums Lala Kent and Schwartz also join the group. Friends of the cast include Jasmine’s fiancé Melissa Carelli, Zack’s boyfriend Benji Quach and Jesse’s girlfriend Lacy Nicole.

Sandoval’s post also reflects a softer chapter between the two men after years of public strain tied to their shared business. Schwartz and Sandoval once co-owned Schwartz & Sandy’s, which closed in December 2024 after a difficult run. Sandoval said on March 3 during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that the bar had been hard to get off the ground and added that if it had not closed that month, it would have closed eventually.

Schwartz addressed the friendship directly in a clip posted to Instagram on April 2, saying, “I still love Tom.” He added, “We’ve been through so much together. He’ll always be a brother and family to me. And it’s good to be friends again,” and said Sandoval had reached out to tell him, “Dude. I’m so happy for you.” Schwartz also described him as “so sweet and genuine.”

With Schwartz stepping into The Valley and Sandoval cheering him on, the old friendship appears to be back on friendlier ground, even if the Instagram caption needed a quick rewrite to get there.
