Kelsea Ballerini arrived on the red carpet April 7 in a sheer white turtleneck gown from David Koma at the Fashion Trust U.S. 2026 Awards in Los Angeles. The look, worn Tuesday evening at Nya Studios, paired a sculptural runway feel with a stark, minimalist finish.
The gown came from David Koma’s Spring/Summer 2026 ready-to-wear collection and used pleated chiffon draped over the front and back of the bodice to reveal a form-fitting white bodysuit underneath. Strategic triangular panels covered the front and back of the skirt, while a white tulle belt cinched the waist and pointed-toe white stilettos finished the outfit.
Ballerini’s appearance landed on a night built around fashion, but it also followed a month of personal change. She broke up with Chase Stokes in February after a three-year-long on-and-off relationship, and she has since spent time in New York City.
That move, she said, is not permanent. Asked about it by E! News on April 7, Ballerini said, “I’m not permanently moving. I’m just there through the summer, and I’m loving it so much.” She wore her hair in a low middle-parted updo with a few face-framing tendrils, a polished finish that matched the gown’s clean lines and kept the focus on the dress itself.
For now, the answer is simple: Ballerini is in New York for the summer, not for good, and she is using the season to lean into a new chapter while still making a sharp red-carpet statement in Los Angeles.
