Chris Brown and USHER announced dates Monday for The R&B Tour, a 33-date co-headlining stadium run across North America that opens June 26 in Denver and closes Dec. 11 in Tampa. The tour will include stops in Detroit, Chicago, Toronto, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston and Miami, with tickets going on sale beginning April 21.
The tour gives two of R&B’s biggest live draws another chance to share a bill after they surprised fans last week with a joint teaser commercial on Instagram. It also arrives after a strong run for both artists: USHER’s North American leg of USHER: Past, Present, Future sold over 1.1 million tickets and included 62 sold-out shows, while Brown wrapped his sold-out BREEZY BOWL XX WORLD TOUR last October after grossing nearly $300 million and drawing 2 million fans across stadiums in North America, Europe and the United Kingdom.
Produced by Live Nation, The R&B Tour will partner with Global Citizen to support access to quality education for children around the world, with $1 donated for every ticket sold to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. Citi presales begin Tuesday, April 21, followed by The R&B Tour presale on Thursday, April 23, and general sales start Monday, April 27 at 12 p.m. local time on RaymondAndBrownTour.com.
The pairing turns two proven stadium headliners into one of the year’s biggest R&B road shows, and the size of the routing suggests the demand is expected to match the billing.
