Tom Hardy took a beach day in Barbados with Charlotte Riley, and the photos showed the 48-year-old smiling as he slipped into the ocean. He wore a gray UFC swimsuit with Venum written on the back, his tattoos visible, while Riley was seen in the water beside him.
Other pictures showed Hardy sitting on a lounge chair on the shore and putting on sunscreen, a quiet vacation scene for one of Britain’s most recognizable stars. The images landed just as fans were already seeing more of his recent work, including his turn in Paramount+’s MobLand.
Hardy and Riley have kept a long relationship that began in 2009, when they met on the set of the ITV adaptation of Wuthering Heights. They became engaged in 2010 and married in July 2014 at Château de Roussan in Provence, France. The couple have two children together, born in 2015 and 2018.
The beach photos also arrive after a run of high-profile work that has kept Hardy in view well beyond the shoreline. He starred for 13 episodes in Peaky Blinders, first appearing in the second season and returning in at least one episode in later seasons. More recently, he played Harry Da Souza in MobLand, a fixer for a mob family at war with a rival, alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren.
That pairing mattered to Hardy, who said in an April 2025 interview that he had always admired Mirren and Brosnan’s work and called the chance to watch them and work with them fantastic. Riley, for her part, once described him in March as someone who made a strong cup of tea and could give as good as he got, a response that made her think he was in for a good time. The Barbados photos do not change the picture of Hardy’s career, but they do show a man taking a break while his next chapter remains busy.
