AnnaLynne McCord is engaged to former rugby player Danny Cipriani after a relationship that began on the dating app Raya about a decade ago, ended in 2020 and then reignited early in 2024. Cipriani proposed in McCord's home last Christmas and slipped a 15-carat diamond ring on her finger.
McCord confirmed the engagement to People and said, "I called this 10 years ago," adding, "I knew we were soulmates, I knew we were meant to be together." She also said, "I was so sure, and I was not wrong."
The news lands after years of back-and-forth between the pair, who said they had an open relationship for four years before splitting in 2020. They became inseparable after reconnecting early in 2024, and Cipriani signaled the renewed relationship in an Instagram post in April 2024, writing, "My Miracle… Loving you is the easiest thing in the world ❤️🥰🌟✨😍,"

McCord publicly marked Cipriani's birthday in November 2025 with a long tribute that made clear the relationship had already become central to both of their lives. In that post she wrote that their journey had taught her that "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE," said she had once believed they had tried and failed years earlier, and described him as her "True North." Cipriani responded on Instagram, calling her his love and saying that to be loved by her was "to know divinity."

What makes this engagement stand out is not just the ring or the proposal date, but how openly both have framed the relationship as a second chance after a split that once looked final. McCord's comments now close the loop on a romance that stretched from Raya to rupture to reunion, and the next chapter will likely be about when the couple decides to make the engagement public beyond their closest circle.
