Jade Cargill pushed back on steroid accusations on X this week after a clip of her physique circulated online and drew a blunt charge from one user. The WWE SmackDown star said she is “not on anything” and that the backlash says more about the platform than it does about her.
The exchange began on April 9, 2026, when @CenationCity posted a clip of Cargill with the caption, “Jade Cargill really out here with a god-tier physique. Unreal scenes.” Another user, @Zen3Master, replied, “She 100% take PEDs now that I’m seeing her do them presses.” Cargill answered directly, saying she had been going to “read you for filth” but saw no point. She wrote that she has “GREAT genetics” and works hard, and added that people could “look at my brother and see my genetics.”
She also said the video was from the period when she learned about neck issues that affected her lifting, a detail that undercuts the idea that the clip shows a normal training sample. Cargill wrote that she has “ALWAYS been muscular,” called out the timing of the criticism, and said, “Plus WWE drug tests us like crazy. Next subject idiot.” In a final post, she added, “It’s always something on this app. I clearly make a lot of ppl uncomfortable just being me.”

The dispute lands at a moment when Cargill’s profile in WWE is already running hot, with her name tied to recent WrestleMania 42 storylines and fan discussion around her next appearances. It also shows how quickly an athlete’s physique can become a public referendum online, even when the response is immediate and unmistakable. For Cargill, the point was not subtle: she denied the accusations, tied her size to genetics and training, and said the clip being used against her came from a time when injury issues were already affecting her work.

What happens next is less about proving a social media argument and more about whether the noise follows her into the ring. For now, Cargill has made her position plain, and she did it in the same place the accusation took off.
