Heath Corson pulled Nathan Fillion into the project, Fillion said directly: "Heath pulled me into his world with Witness Point, and I immediately knew this was a story that would lend itself to a comic series." Fillion also called his artist partner out by name: "I’m excited to be collaborating with the incredibly talented and celebrated artist Soo Lee, whose recent work on ThunderCats: Cheetara, The Wizard of Oz, and Disney Villains: Maleficent is nothing short of extraordinary." Witness Point Release Date

July 8, 2026: the first issue of Witness Point is scheduled to debut online and in comic book stores on that date, with Dark Horse describing the series as a crime-thriller set in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Dark Horse’s materials frame Baraboo as a circus town tied to the Witness Protection Program, where "every criminal who cooperated with the U.S. government is sent there to 'Witness Point.'" The plot centers on a U.S. Marshal’s dead body being found in the town square and local sheriff and his team racing to identify the killer before the town’s Harvest Festival.

July 8, 2026 is also the operational deadline for retailers and readers: pre-orders are already live per Dark Horse’s post, and the project lists Fillion’s production company —alongside , Josh Levy—and as partners working to bring the story to market.
