Marvel Rivals Season 8 release date set, Devil Dinosaur gets first hero teaser

Season 8 is set to launch on May 15, 2026, at 9 AM UTC, and has already shown the first hero it plans to bring in: Devil Dinosaur. The release date was confirmed in the official Season 7.5 roadmap, ending weeks of speculation around when the next chapter would begin.

The tease matters because Devil Dinosaur and Cyclops were both previously rumored to be the new playable heroes for Season 8, and Season 7’s Gallery Card added fuel to that idea with a Devil Dinosaur plushie and Cyclops’ sunglasses. Taken together, the clues now point to Devil Dinosaur arriving first, with Cyclops likely lined up for Season 8.5 after that.

Season 7 introduced White Fox and Black Cat alongside the Blood Hunt and modes, and Avengers PvP is now live in Season 7.5. That current season is ending sooner than usual, which helps explain why the roadmap confirmation landed now rather than later. NetEase Games has not yet released a full roadmap for Season 8, but the new Gallery Card and hero teaser leave little room for doubt about where the rollout is headed.

The remaining question is not whether Marvel Rivals is building toward a new set of additions, but how quickly the rest of the season will follow Devil Dinosaur. The Avengers event road map also points to -related events in the upcoming season, giving Season 8 a clearer identity even before the full plan is published.
