Just For Laughs added a second wave of shows for its Montreal flagship comedy festival on Tuesday, putting Dan Soder, Jerry Seinfeld, Lucy Darling, Chris Fleming, Joel Kim Booster and Rick Glassman into the 2026 lineup for July 15-26.
The new release also gave Seinfeld a second show at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts on July 23, after his first appearance there had already been announced. The added performance gives festivalgoers another chance to catch one of the marquee names in a lineup that also includes Weird Al Yankovic, Gabriel Fluffy Iglesias, Atsuko Okatsuka and Gerry Dee.
Tickets open in stages this week. JFL newsletter subscribers get pre-sale access today at 10 a.m., venue pre-sale begins May 7 at 10 a.m. and public on-sale starts May 8 at 10 a.m.
Nick Brazao said the festival is building on the momentum of what he called an already incredible 2026 edition, and described the program as a celebration of comedy “at every level,” from emerging voices to established legends. That mix is also on display in Lucy Darling, the stage character performed by Carisa Hendrix, whose clip from December 2024 drew 21 million views on TikTok and helped push her wider profile.
The additions sharpen the shape of this year’s Montreal run. Seinfeld already had one July 23 date on the books at 6:30 p.m., and the newly added 9:30 p.m. show fills out a night that is becoming one of the festival’s biggest draws. For Just For Laughs, the second announcement is the kind of update that turns a lineup from promising to hard to ignore, especially with ticket sales opening immediately.
With the festival set for July 15-26 and more than one schedule now anchored by major names, the question is no longer whether the lineup can carry the week. It can. The issue now is how fast the hottest seats disappear once sales begin.
