has dropped the official trailer for Season 2 of The Four Seasons, and the new run sends the core group to Italy as they keep vacationing together with a baby in tow. The season premieres Thursday, May 28 on Netflix.

Kate, Jack, Anne, Danny, Claude and Ginny are back, with as Kate, as Jack, as Anne, as Danny, Marco Calvani as Claude and Erika Henningsen as Ginny. This time, the friends are mourning the shocking loss of their friend Nick, played by , after a hard year that has already altered the shape of the group.

That is a sharp turn for a series built around long-term friendship and the messy habits that come with it. Season 1 followed six old friends across four vacations over the course of a year, beginning with a relaxing weekend away that fell apart when one couple in the group was about to split up. The three couples were Kate and Jack, Nick and Anne, and Danny and Claude, and by the end of the season their dynamic had been upended by the news that one couple was on the verge of breaking apart.

Season 2 picks up from there and moves the action from the Jersey shore and upstate New York to Italy, keeping the vacation tradition intact even as the emotional stakes rise. The series is co-created by Fey, Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, and it is produced for Netflix by , a division of , with Alan Alda and Marissa Bregman as producers.

The new season does not reset the story so much as press on through the damage. Nick is gone, the friendships are still in motion, and the trip to Italy makes clear that for this group, leaving home has never meant leaving the problems behind.
