Hayden Christensen will appear at GalaxyCon Oklahoma City this May, and the news landed as Star Wars Day celebrations were unfolding around the world. Paul Bettany was added to the guest list alongside him for the convention’s third annual run, set for May 22-24.
The lineup also includes Danny Glover, Peter Weller and Cheech and Chong, giving the Oklahoma City event a broader pop culture pull than a standard fan meet-and-greet. General admission tickets were on sale through official GalaxyCon channels, while Ultimate Packages offered exclusive meet and greet opportunities.
Christensen’s appearance carries added weight after he confirmed earlier today that Anakin Skywalker will return in the upcoming season of Ahsoka on Disney Plus. Asked about the part, he said, “There’s not much I can share, but Anakin will be back for season two.”
That follows his April tease at Star Wars Celebration about his next major project and extends a return to the franchise that began when he came back as Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries. The GalaxyCon stop also shows the convention continuing to grow in star power and reach across sci-fi and pop culture.
The bigger question now is not whether Christensen is back in the Star Wars universe. It is how much Anakin will matter in season two, and whether the convention appearance is the first sign of a much larger run of fan-facing stops tied to the role.
For fans in Oklahoma City, the answer is already on the schedule: Christensen and Bettany are coming May 22-24, and the draw is bigger than nostalgia alone.
