Graco is recalling certain SnugRide Turn & Slide car seats sold in the US between January and March after a post-production laboratory test identified a structural concern. The company said parents and caregivers should check their seat on Graco's website and complete the recall registration process if it is included.
The voluntary Graco car seat recall applies only to SnugRide Turn & Slide models, and the company said no incidents tied to consumer use have been reported. Graco said it will provide a replacement product at no cost to families with affected seats. Other rotating car seats, including EasyTurn and Turn2Me, are not affected, and no other SnugRide models are included.
The seats were sold through Amazon, Babylist, Target, Walmart and GracoBaby.com, giving the recall broad reach across major retail channels. Graco said, in effect, that it knows parents rely on its products every day and understands the move may create frustration and disruption for families, but added that it is working quickly to support affected households.

The recall matters now because families who bought one of the seats in the last few months need to confirm whether their model is affected before using it again. Graco's site is the only step the company has directed parents and caregivers to take, and it says those with covered seats will receive a replacement at no cost.

The unresolved issue is not whether there has been a consumer injury — Graco says there has not — but how many families have one of the recalled seats and will need to act. For parents, the practical answer is straightforward: check the model, register if it is included and wait for the replacement.
