Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley debuted a new song Saturday night in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, ending a packed stadium show with a surprise duet that pointed to a release set for Friday, April 24. The song, “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” came after Wallen had already spent two hours onstage before Langley returned for the encore at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
More than 80,000 fans filled the Alabama football stadium for Wallen’s “I’m Still the Problem” tour stop, the first concert there in more than 30 years. Before Wallen’s performance, Nick Saban joined him for the walkout, giving the night a jolt of local sports history before the music took over.
Wallen told the crowd that Langley had written the new song and sent it to him about a month earlier, and he said he loved it as soon as he heard it. That detail gave the debut a different weight than a standard tour guest spot. Langley’s appearance fit into a night that also showcased her own momentum. She sang songs from her first album and several tracks from her new release, Dandelion, including a solo version of “You Look Like You Love Me.” She closed her set with “Choosin’ Texas” and “Weren’t for the Wind,” a sequence that sent the crowd toward Wallen’s main set already warmed up.
The “Choosin’ Texas” video adds another layer to the new release. At the end of the clip, the license plate reads “ICLYA,” and the song Wallen and Langley performed Saturday appears to connect directly to those initials. The video has drawn 16 million views on YouTube, which helps explain why the crowd treated the encore like more than a one-off surprise.
Langley had already joined Wallen onstage before, singing “What I Want,” his duet with Tate McRae. But Saturday’s pairing carried a sharper sense of timing because “I Can’t Love You Anymore” is already scheduled to arrive Friday, April 24, just days after the Tuscaloosa debut. The performance turned a tour stop into the song’s first public test, and it left the impression that Wallen and Langley wanted fans to hear it together before they could stream it apart.
