Weei has made changes to its afternoon drive lineup, and the station’s website no longer lists Andy Hart and Nick 'Fitzy' Stevens as part of the show. The page that had promoted WEEI Afternoons with Ted Johnson Jr., Andy Hart and Nick 'Fitzy' Stevens now shows only generic programming for the time slot.
Barrett Media learned that Hart and Stevens were no longer with the Boston sports radio brand. Only Ted Johnson Jr. appeared during the afternoon program on Wednesday, and Christian Arcand filled in as host that night. Johnson is expected to remain in the daypart.
The changes come after recent cuts at parent company Audacy, which conducted layoffs across multiple markets earlier in the month. A station announcement was expected at 9am on Monday during The Greg Hill Show, adding a formal step to a shift that was already visible on the air and online.
The staffing moves would be a sharp turn for a lineup built in stages over the past year. Hart joined Weei in 2019 and moved to afternoons in August 2024. Stevens also joined in 2019 and earned a promotion to afternoons that same month. Johnson was added to the afternoon drive team in January 2025, and the current version of the show appears to be settling around him as the station resets after the Audacy layoffs.
