The Montreal Canadiens host the Florida Panthers on Tuesday at the Bell Centre, and the night will carry more than one kind of scoreline. Montreal is in a four-game homestand, has already booked its ticket to the playoffs and will pair the game with a special 50/50 raffle benefiting the Canadian Cancer Society.
Fans in Quebec who are 18 or older can buy raffle tickets at the game or online at scc5050.com, while a separate auction featuring items from this season’s Hockey Fights Cancer game on Nov. 8, 2025 is live at canadiens.com/scc. Bids on the memorabilia are open until April 11, and all proceeds go to the Canadian Cancer Society. The Patriotes de l'Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières men’s hockey team, fresh off a sixth national championship last month, will also be honored on the scoreboard during the game.
On the ice, Montreal is coming off a 3-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Sunday that ended its eight-game win streak, but the defeat did not stop the team from clinching a playoff berth. The Canadiens are also still chasing the Buffalo Sabres and the Tampa Bay Lightning for the top spot in the Atlantic Division, which gives the game against Florida more weight than a simple late-season date on the schedule.

The Panthers arrive eliminated from playoff contention after a 9-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, a sharp turn for the 2024 and 2025 defending Stanley Cup champions. They are also trying to beat the Canadiens for the first time since Feb. 29, 2024, a streak that has added some edge to this matchup even with Montreal already looking ahead to the postseason.
There is still a milestone within reach for Nick Suzuki, who is five points away from 100 for his career after setting personal bests of 68 assists and 95 points in his seventh NHL season. Mackie Samoskevich has also been productive for Florida, scoring four goals in his last five games and sitting four points shy of matching his career high of 31.

The Canadiens are scheduled for a morning skate at 10:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, and the evening will also include a KFC offer for Montreal-area fans. The chain’s Famous Chicken Sandwich is available for $5.95 at participating restaurants on game days through in-store service, self-serve kiosks and mobile ordering, though not through third-party delivery apps.
Montreal has already moved into the postseason, but Tuesday still says plenty about where the Canadiens are right now: a team with a playoff berth secured, a division race still alive and a home date turned into a fundraiser, a tribute and a test all at once.
