have added multiple Texas stops to their 2026 Morro Rock Tour, and two nights in Tomball are already gone. The band will play on July 6 and July 7, with both performances sold out before the doors even open at 6 p.m. and music starts at 8 p.m. each night.

The 2026 Morro Rock Tour runs more than 40 dates across North America from late June through early August, beginning June 20 in Orangevale, California. Texas is getting a heavy share of the run, with stops in Tomball, Fort Worth on July 17, Whitehouse, Austin-area dates and New Braunfels. in Fort Worth will host Thornton and the band on a Friday night, while in New Braunfels brings them to one of the oldest dance halls in Texas.

Formed in 2007, The Boxmasters have built a catalog that now includes more than a dozen albums, moving through rock, country, psychobilly and garage influences with a low-key profile that has often been eclipsed by Billy Bob Thornton's acting work. That profile is rising again at a moment when Thornton is also appearing in Paramount+'s , the -created drama about the Texas oil patch. He won an Academy Award for Sling Blade in 1996, but his music career has never entirely left the road behind.

The sold-out Tomball dates show where the draw is strongest, and the rest of the Texas routing suggests the band is leaning into rooms with history and character rather than chasing sheer size. For Thornton, the music run is not a side note to the television role. It is another reminder that the audience for his band has been there all along, and in Tomball it filled the room first.
