The couple did not share their son’s name or birthday, but the timing places the birth about one year after their beach wedding in Mexico, where they were married before family and close friends. Paul Rudd, Beanie Feldstein and Ben Stiller were among the guests at the ceremony, which marked a quick but clearly deliberate step into married life for Theroux, 54, and Bloom, 32.
That timing matters because both had been speaking openly in the months before the birth about how they were approaching family life. In May, Theroux told E! News that they were still young in their marriage and were enjoying it, while Bloom said last month on Today that they were not entirely planning to start a family but were excited to do so.
