Haley Beck, the 27-year-old older sister of social media personality Noah Beck, was fired after accusations that she groomed and had sex with a teenage student at Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona. Police resubmitted the case to prosecutors on Thursday, putting her and another former teacher back in line for possible criminal charges.

Beck allegedly began grooming the teen in December 2024, while she was his psychology teacher, according to a nearly 200-page police report. The report says she did his homework, inflated his grades and gave him special treatment in class. It also says she let him use her car, bought him gifts including booze and drugs, and paid him more than $600.

The exchanges described in the report are ugly even by the standards of school misconduct cases. Beck allegedly called herself the student’s sugar momma, wrote that the arrangement felt like straight prostitution, and said she did not like being compared to Mrs. B. In another message, she allegedly wrote that even though the situation was still not right, at least they were closer in age than Mrs. B. She also allegedly wrote in a handwritten note that, for a relationship she knew was extremely wrong, she felt they had really made the most out of it.

The case widened after allegations involving a second teacher surfaced. Angela Burlaka, 47, resigned from a job she had held for 25 years after claims that she sent the same boy a video of herself naked and saying his name. The boy’s grandmother found one of Burlaka’s videos on his phone in July and reported it to authorities, and the student’s mother later told police she knew her son was having sex with a teacher named Haley Beck.

Jessica Nicely, the family’s lawyer, said the boy was a child and that what happened to him was child abuse and child rape. She said people often react differently when the accused is a woman and the victim is a boy, adding that it is not funny and not an achievement. It is not a relationship they were having, she said. That is rape.

Rumors about the relationship had been whispered in the halls of Centennial High for months before both teachers were placed on leave in August. The report says it was not immediately clear how old the boy was, though he appeared to be a sophomore or junior. With the case now back before prosecutors, both women could face charges in a case that has exposed how long the allegations were allowed to fester inside one school.

Beck, who was hired in 2020, had thousands of followers online, but the allegations now center on what happened behind the classroom door. The question left for prosecutors is no longer whether the rumors were real. It is whether the evidence in the report is strong enough to turn them into a criminal case.
