Alaina Marie Scott has welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Scottie Marie, with her husband, Matt Moeller. She announced the birth on Instagram on Thursday, April 16, saying the baby was born two days earlier, on April 14.
Scott called her daughter “my heart outside my body” and said she is “everything and more.” She welcomed the newborn with the words, “Welcome to the world my sweet darling,” and said Scottie was named in honor of the “scott sisters,” the women who have given the name and her life “so much meaning.”
She added that she hopes her daughter will “give it a meaning of her own” and always know how loved she is “by mom + dad, and her aunties.” Scott also thanked Moeller directly, writing, “To my husband, I can’t believe she’s ours. Thank you for giving me the greatest gift of my life. I love you endlessly.”
The birth adds a new chapter to a family story that has long played out in public. Scott married Moeller in June 2023, with Eminem walking her down the aisle. Scott is Eminem’s adopted daughter; he and Kim Scott adopted her in the early 2000s after her mother struggled with drug use, and he said in 2004 that he had full custody of her. Her aunts include Hailie Jade Scott and Stevie Laine Scott.
