An insider said she brings a sense of balance into his life that he did not have before, describing her as grounded and self-assured with a steadying influence on him. The people around Styles now say he is investing in the relationship in a deliberate way, and that what began in Rome last summer has become the clearest sign yet that he is ready to settle down.
The question now is not whether Styles wants something different from the life he once led. It is how soon that new chapter turns into an engagement.
