Donald Trump posted an AI-generated image of himself alongside Dana White on Thursday to promote Ufc Freedom 250, the mixed martial arts event slated for the White House South Lawn on June 14. The card is being billed as a birthday event for Trump’s 80th birthday.
The event is expected to feature six UFC fights, including a lightweight main event between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. Trump told Axios it was "the hottest ticket that I’ve ever seen," a line that captures how he is framing the spectacle as both a political showpiece and a personal celebration.
White, the CEO and president of Ultimate Fighting Championship, has become a familiar figure in Trump’s orbit, and the White House setting gives the event a scale that reaches well beyond the octagon. About 5,000 VIP seats around the cage are expected to go mostly to military personnel, while the remaining VIP spots are expected to be filled by donors, lobbyists, members of Congress and other Trumpworld figures. Another 85,000 tickets are expected to be available to the public at The Ellipse, where fans would watch on large screens.

Trump’s post landed on a day when he was already in a combative mood. Two hours before the UFC promotion, he raged at NATO on Truth Social, writing, "None of these people, including our own, very disappointing, NATO, understood anything unless they have pressure placed upon them!!!" The timing underscored how the president is using the event not just as entertainment, but as part of a broader political posture.
The White House announcement also comes amid war and as cracks were emerging in the two-week ceasefire with Iran that Trump had called a total and complete victory for the United States. The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz had not happened as of Thursday afternoon, and Iranian officials said Israeli strikes on Lebanon had already violated the truce. A separate analysis by found thousands of MAGA devotees on Truth Social had lashed out at Trump over his handling of the Iran war.
