Marwan Rahiki is back on the UFC Fight Night 275 main card Saturday in Perth, Australia, where he meets short-notice debutant Ollie Schmid at RAC Arena. The fight is expected to send the pair to the cage at about 8:10 a.m. ET and will stream live on Paramount+.
Rahiki, 8-0 in MMA and 1-0 in the UFC, won his debut in March against Harry Hardwick by second-round corner stoppage and picked up Fight of the Night honors for it. Schmid arrives with a 4-2 record and a three-fight winning streak, and three of his four wins have ended in the first round.
The matchup carries a different shape than the one first booked. Rahiki was originally slated to face Jack Jenkins, but Schmid stepped in on just a few days’ notice after Jenkins was replaced. That puts Rahiki in a familiar spot at a difficult moment: he gets a new opponent, but the expectations around him have only grown since his first UFC outing.
The betting line reflects that gap. FanDuel listed Rahiki at -750 and Schmid at +490, with the official pick calling for Rahiki to force a stoppage by strikes in Round 2. Rahiki remains one of the card’s more closely watched names after coming in as a Dana White’s Contender Series signee, while Schmid makes his UFC debut as a City Kickboxing stablemate of other fighters on the Perth card.
For Rahiki, the opportunity is straightforward. A second straight finish would keep his rise moving fast. For Schmid, the chance is even simpler: take a short-notice debut, turn it into a statement, and do it against a fighter the UFC has already started to build around.
