Bruno Mars kicked off The Romantic Tour with a sold-out show in Las Vegas on Saturday night before more than 60,000 fans at Allegiant Stadium, opening his first trek in nearly a decade with a hometown-scale celebration. Anderson.Paak joined him midway through the show, and the pair performed five songs together.
The night was built to match Mars’s place in the city. Earlier, he rode down the Strip in a vintage convertible for a parade honoring his contributions to the Las Vegas entertainment scene and received the key to the Las Vegas Strip, a tribute that underscored how deeply he has been tied to the city’s live-entertainment identity.
Bill Hornbuckle said Mars has become an integral part of Las Vegas over the past decade, pointing to early performances at Bellagio and MGM Grand and what he called a record-setting residency at Dolby Live. He said Mars has drawn hundreds of thousands of visitors and created the kind of “only in Vegas” moments that define the city, adding that it was fitting to launch the tour there.

Mars also pledged a $1 million donation to the future Intermountain Health Nevada Children's Hospital, adding a charitable note to a night focused on both spectacle and civic recognition. The tour launch left little doubt that his return is being framed not just as a concert, but as a major Las Vegas event shaped by years of performances that helped make him part of the city’s own story.
