was removed from a flight at LAX hours after walking the red carpet for the Euphoria Season 3 premiere. She had been heading to New York on a red-eye when the episode on board turned into a late-night delay.

According to Page Six, Lyonne was in first class and dozed off after the flight left Los Angeles. Flight attendants tried to wake her, asked her to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt, and removed the laptop as they pressed her to get ready for departure. Onlookers said she appeared out of it and asked, “Where are we?”

The attendants ultimately told Lyonne the plane would not go anywhere until she got off. She reportedly complied and left the aircraft. By Wednesday morning, she had missed a scheduled appearance on The Show, and later wrote on X that she was sorry to miss speaking with Barrymore.

The episode lands at a moment when Lyonne is back as Charlie Cale in ’s Poker Face, and she is also taking on directing duties for Season 2. It also comes against the backdrop of her long-running openness about addiction, including a deleted social media post in which she said she had relapsed earlier this year. In March, Lyonne said she was on the mend and, in her words, back on her feet. This latest setback does not change the larger picture: she was trying to move forward, but a red-eye out of LAX instead pushed her back into public view.

In March, Lyonne wrote that she was doing a whole lot better and thanked recovery communities and fans for standing by her. Her follow-up message tried to keep that journey private while making clear she still wanted to share her experience, strength and hope when it made sense. The flight incident turned a routine cross-country trip into an unwanted headline, but it also underscored just how closely her recovery, her work and her public life now remain tied together.
