attacked the over citizenship after attending last week’s hearing on his anti-birthright citizenship order. In a post published at 12:57 a.m. ET on Monday, he said the case will likely be struck down and urged the justices to reject the challenge.

Trump wrote, “We are the only Country in the World STUPID enough to allow ‘Birthright’ Citizenship!” He also said, “The Country can only withstand so many bad decisions from a Court that just doesn’t seem to care.”

The president had already signaled his view in February, when he wrote that the court “will find a way to come to the wrong conclusion” on citizenship. In the Monday post, he told the court to watch and study the Show on what he called the “Birthright Citizenship Scam.”

He added, “They SHOULD USE THEIR POWERS OF COMMON SENSE FOR THE GOOD OF OUR COUNTRY.” Trump also wrote that the court “failed miserably on Tariffs” and said the issue cost the USA “Hundreds of Billions of Dollars.”

Mark Levin Show

Trump’s post pointed readers to Mark Levin, a host who argued on “Life, Liberty & Levin” that the framers of the 14th Amendment did not intend to grant birthright citizenship to children of illegal immigrants. Trump did not present that argument in the post as a separate legal filing, but as a broadcast he wanted the court to study.

That leaves the Supreme Court facing a ruling later in the spring or early summer on a challenge to Trump’s order, while Trump’s own posts indicate he expects the justices to rule against him. For readers watching the case, the next hard date is the court’s decision window, not another public statement from Trump.
