Joel Dommett said he and Hannah Cooper are expecting their second child any day now, after Rochelle Humes opened Thursday’s This Morning by pointing out that he was about to become a dad again. The presenter, appearing on the ITV daytime show on April 9, said the birth was “very close” and added: “It’s really, really close.”
The pair already have a two year old son, Wilde, and announced in November that they were expecting another baby. Dommett said, “Hannah is very pregnant,” as he returned to the sofa alongside Humes, who welcomed viewers with a pointed reminder of the timing: “We should just point out the fact that you're about to become a dad again.”
The couple have already decided not to reveal the gender of the unborn child, but the bigger concern this week was simply keeping the family near home long enough for labour to start. Hannah Cooper said she was “not leaving London” and explained that she and Dommett had been supposed to go on a babymoon last week before scrapping it and staying home instead. She said she was due “dangerously soon,” a phrase that matched the mood of a family watching the calendar closely.
That is the tension in the story: the baby is due at any moment, but the couple are still trying to keep life normal enough to work and stay put. Cooper’s decision to stay in London makes practical sense, and Dommett’s appearance on This Morning showed how close the family is to the finish line. For now, the next chapter is not a reveal or a celebration set in advance. It is the arrival itself, and it could come at any time.
