Gisele Bündchen marked Mother’s Day on May 10 with an Instagram carousel that included the clearest photo yet of her youngest child, a 1-year-old boy she shares with husband Joaquim Valente. The post gave followers a rare look at the child’s face after months of carefully shielding his identity.
Bündchen wrote that nothing in the world fills her life with more meaning and joy than being a mom, adding that she is grateful to experience life with her children while learning and growing with them every day. She also posted photos of her older children, Benjamin and Vivian, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Brady, and included a Mother’s Day card from Benjamin that thanked her for everything she has taught him and said he loved her so much.
The timing mattered because it offered a new personal glimpse into a family the supermodel has kept largely private since welcoming her son last year. Bündchen and Valente have not publicly released the boy’s name, and until now she has usually shown him from behind or the side to protect his privacy. Her January Instagram post hinted at how deeply the new arrival had changed the household, saying it had already been over a year since he came to bless their lives.
She had said much the same in an interview three months after his birth, describing how sleep, or the lack of it, can change everything for a new mother and calling it priceless to be home with her kids and enjoy every moment with them. On Mother’s Day, she used the platform to widen the lens beyond her own celebration, writing a message to all mothers and singling out her own mother, whom she said inspires her to be the best mom she can be.
The post also arrived the same day Brady shared his own tribute to Bündchen and Bridget Moynahan, the mother of his eldest child, Jack. Brady’s message sat above a photo of Bündchen cuddling Jack, Benjamin and Vivian, a reminder that the family’s public story still overlaps in ways that are warm, complicated and impossible to separate completely. For now, though, Bündchen’s post answered the one question her followers were really asking: the child she has guarded so closely is still being protected, even in the rare moment when he appeared most clearly yet on screen.
