Lamar Odom documentary sparks renewed anger from Khloe Kardashian

’s new documentary has reopened an old wound for , with a report saying she feels betrayed again after watching his story resurface on screen. The series, Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, revisited his NBA career, addiction recovery, 2015 overdose and marriage to Kardashian, and one insider said the reaction inside the family was blunt: “Khloe stood by him.”

That same source called the documentary “betrayal, not honesty,” while another said the fallout had reached beyond Khloe, with , and the wider inner circle said to be done with him. A separate source put it more starkly: “Access is cut. Trust is gone.”

The latest round of tension comes as Odom has been back in the public conversation for speaking about survival and recovery. On Today, he said he credited God for surviving his overdose, but the renewed attention has also brought back the question of how much of the pain around that period still belongs to the Kardashian family. The documentary revisited the central parts of the relationship: the 2009 marriage, which came only weeks after they met at a party for , and the December 2016 divorce that ended it.

Khloe had already signaled on her podcast with Kris Jenner that the relationship had gone cold. “Haven’t heard from him,” she said, adding that Odom was “playing me,” while Jenner responded, “You would think he would reach out.” Khloe later summed up the rupture in one line: “We’re not talking to him anymore.”

What makes the latest backlash cut deeper is the suggestion that Odom’s new telling downplayed the role Khloe played while he was fighting for his life. Reports said she felt he minimized her support through the crisis, and that is what turned a documentary about survival into another chapter of resentment. The answer to whether the family would ever move past it appears to be no: for now, the distance is the story.
