Randi Mahomes marked Mother’s Day on Sunday with a tribute to Brittany Mahomes and to her late mother, Debbie Martin. In a post on Instagram, she wrote, “Happy Mothers Day to these two amazing!”
Mahomes shared a photo with Martin, who was wearing her grandson’s No. 15 Chiefs jersey, and said she was “missing my mom a little extra today.” She added that Martin’s love “shaped the way I loved my own family,” and said she was grateful for everything her mother poured into her. Martin died in 2023.
Mahomes also singled out Brittany Mahomes, saying, “Brittany, you are such an incredible mother,” and praising the “love, patience, and joy” she pours into her children every day. She called being a mom and now a “Grandi” the greatest blessing, then urged followers to “hug your mamas a little tighter today.” Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes have three children.
The post fits a family that has become familiar to Chiefs fans over the years. Randi Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes Sr. and Jackson Mahomes are regulars at Chiefs games during the season, often visible around the team as Patrick Mahomes has built his profile on the field.
Sunday’s tribute also came after Mahomes used an Instagram Q&A in April 2025 to say Patrick Mahomes once wanted to quit football in high school. She said she pushed him to stay with the sport, telling him that sitting out a season and watching from the sidelines would not be fun. That memory gives the Mother’s Day note a sharper edge: for Randi Mahomes, the family story she shared Sunday was not only about loss and gratitude, but also about the steady encouragement that helped shape the quarterback’s path.
