Meta said "This page has been removed for violating our policies." As of Thursday afternoon the Beanstalk Functions Group page was no longer accessible on Facebook, a platform action that followed Shatner's complaint that Facebook Support would not remove the account. Shatner said he reached out to the CEO of the platform's parent company to ask for removal, and the company’s statement shows the page was taken down on Thursday.

Earlier this month the Beanstalk Functions Group published a lengthy spate of Shatner-focused items that used AI-generated images and text to fabricate personal and career claims. A report catalogued posts that included an alleged hospital-bed photo described as Shatner having "shared a hauntingly raw photo from a hospital bed, ending weeks of frantic speculation," an AI image of a lifelike statue on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a fabricated Academy Award win saying he took "Best Actor" at the 2026 ceremony for 'Echoes of Time.' The report noted the award actually went to Michael B. Jordan for 'Sinners' on March 15, 2026, and said the Facebook posts linked back to a website hosted by Next.js.
