Lois Griffin is coming to Fortnite on May 8 or May 9, depending on where players live, in a crossover timed to land just before Mother’s Day in the United States. In the US, the Family Guy matriarch will be available in the Item Shop at 5 p.m. PST on May 8, 2026, while players in the UK can buy the skin at 1 a.m. BST on May 9.
An official Fortnite account on X showed a brief look at the items, including a backpack bling that appears to be a brown paper shopping bag, along with Family Guy boxing gloves, a pickaxe and an emote. The release also includes Linda Belcher from Bob’s Burgers and Peggy Hill from King of the Hill, making this one of the more crowded character drops the game has lined up in recent months. A skin price has not been announced, though it will likely land between 1,200 and 1,500 V-Bucks, with a bundle expected to cost more than 3,000 V-Bucks.
The timing matters because May 10 is Mother’s Day in the US, and Epic is clearly leaning into the date with a character built around the family role more than the combat fantasy. This is not the first time Family Guy has crossed into Fortnite; Peter Griffin appeared in the game some years back, and the new release pushes that franchise link a step further by putting Lois in the shop instead of leaving the joke at one-off cameo status. Players following Fortnite’s wider crossover push — from festival headliners to Creative updates and free Save the World unlocks — have seen the game use familiar names to keep attention moving from one mode to another.
The one detail still hanging over the release is the price, and that is where the sale may end up telling the clearest story. If the skin lands near the expected range and the bundle clears 3,000 V-Bucks, Fortnite will have turned a holiday tie-in into a premium crossover package, with Lois Griffin front and center and the rest of the animated lineup riding in behind her.
