Page Six published exclusive photos that appear to show New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and dianna russini holding hands and hugging at a luxury hotel in Sedona, Arizona. The pair were spotted two weekends ago at the Ambiente, where a source said they had breakfast on the patio around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 28.
One Page Six source said Vrabel and Russini spent about an hour together at the pool and in a hot tub after breakfast, then were seen again that evening on the private rooftop of one of the hotel’s bungalows. The photos show them hugging at sunset and weaving their fingers together while standing face-to-face, and the source said they briefly danced together. The hotel offers two-person bungalows that can cost up to $2,160 a night.
Vrabel and Russini both said they were at the hotel with friends, though those friends do not appear in the pictures. A source close to Russini said she was staying there during a hiking trip with two female friends. A friend of Vrabel’s said he and another friend drove to Sedona for the day and headed back to their own hotel about two hours away afterward.
Three other eyewitnesses told Page Six they did not see anyone else with Vrabel and Russini. One said, “No, he was with a girl.” The account lands as Russini has spent years covering the NFL as one of the league’s best-known reporters, routinely writing about the Patriots, while Vrabel is in his first year as New England’s top coach after taking over in January 2025.
The timing also places the outing between two busy stretches for both of them. Vrabel was at a scouting event at Arizona State University in Tempe on Friday, March 27, then traveled 125 miles to Sedona before later heading to the Biltmore hotel in Phoenix for an NFL Competition Committee meeting. Russini was among the NFL reporters at the Biltmore on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and The Athletic published a dispatch about those meetings on Thursday that she wrote with Jacob Robinson.
Russini joined ’s SportsCenter in 2015 and The Athletic in 2023, where she now hosts the Scoop City: Inside the NFL podcast. Vrabel, who played eight seasons as a linebacker for the Patriots, knows the franchise from the inside; Russini’s work has made her a regular presence around it. The sharper question now is not whether the photos are real, but how much either side can explain away the sight of a coach and a reporter being seen together at a hotel built for proposals, anniversaries and honeymoons.
