Caitlyn Jenner praised Donald Trump on a recent appearance on Tomi Lahren Is Fearless, saying she “really appreciates” what he is doing and calling him “an amazing, kind person.” Jenner added, “But I really appreciate the guy and what he’s doing. And thank God at least we got somebody in there that’s trying to save our country and the world.”
The comments quickly drew criticism on X after a clip of the interview circulated. Some users called Jenner “spineless,” “pathetic” and “a sellout,” while one commenter said she “has turned her back on the LGBT community that supported her.”
The reaction lands because Jenner, a longtime Republican, has already traveled this road before. She voted for Trump in 2016, later revoked her support and accused him of turning trans people into “political pawns” while saying “the trans community is being relentlessly attacked by this president.” By 2024, though, she was back in his corner.
In May 2024, Jenner wrote, “I STAND WITH @realdonaldtrump a long time friend, class act, strong beyond belief, loyal, and extraordinarily selfless.” She also said she could not wait to attend his next inauguration, adding that she was at his first one. Then in November 2024, she shared a photo posing alongside Trump, Elon Musk and Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump, declaring, “Hope is back in America.”
Jenner’s latest remarks close the loop on a public break and return that has unfolded in full view. She once said Trump had made trans people into political pawns, then went back to praising him as an ally and a savior of the country. What remains unresolved is not where Jenner stands; it is how much more criticism she is willing to absorb for standing there.
