Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport marked the grand opening of a Jimmy John’s on Monday in the Concourse B food court, filling a spot that had previously housed Chick-fil-A.
The sandwich chain moved into the space after Chick-fil-A relocated to a larger location in the same food court, part of CVG’s steady push to widen the range of meals available to travelers passing through the airport.
Chad Summe said giving travelers a variety of choices across the airport remains a priority for CVG, and he cast each new concession as part of that effort. “We want passengers to feel well-served at every turn, and Jimmy John’s is a welcome fit for the Concourse B Food Court,” he said.
The addition fits into a broader effort at CVG to expand concessions and make dining at the airport less repetitive for passengers with a layover, a delayed flight or a long day of travel ahead. The former Chick-fil-A space had already been reassigned within the same food court, creating an opening that Jimmy John’s now occupies.
That sequence shows how CVG is using its food court turnover to keep the airport’s lineup moving rather than leaving empty counters behind. For travelers, the change means one more quick-service option in a busy part of the terminal, and for the airport, it underscores a deliberate focus on keeping Concourse B supplied with familiar brands and more choice.
