The New York Giants have signed offensive lineman lucas patrick, a 6-foot-3, 313-pound veteran who’s played in 113 games with 65 starts since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
Patrick has spent time with the Green Bay Packers (2017-2021), Chicago Bears (2022-2023), New Orleans Saints and Cincinnati Bengals. Over his nine seasons he’s started 28 games at center, 19 at left guard and 18 at right guard, with more than 1,000 snaps at each of those spots.
Pro Football Focus credits Patrick with allowing just eight total sacks on 2,607 pass-blocking snaps across his career; his best year in pass protection came in 2021 with the Packers, when he gave up one sack on 567 pass-block snaps while mostly playing center.
Last season Patrick appeared in six games for the Bengals with one start after suffering a calf injury in Week 1. Before his NFL career he spent four seasons at Duke, redshirting as a true freshman in 2011, finishing with 44 games (26 starts) and a streak of 21 consecutive starts at left guard. He earned honorable mention All-ACC from the league’s coaches as a senior in 2015.
Other recent roster moves during the 2026 cycle included the termination of veteran kicker Graham Gano and free-agent additions such as Cam Jones, long-snapper Zach Triner and defensive lineman Sam Roberts as the Giants reshuffle their depth chart.
