is joining the in Toronto for a three-game road trip and is expected to work out of the bullpen after a roster shuffle that also sent to the injured list and put in Royce Lewis's spot on the 26-man roster.

The move gives Morris his first shot with the major league club after the Twins drafted him in the fourth round out of Texas Tech in 2022, taking him 114th overall. He reached Toronto after a season in which he threw 94 2/3 innings for St. Paul in 2025 with a 4.09 ERA and a 4.14 FIP, then followed that with 7 1/3 innings in 2026 before the call-up, when he posted a 1.23 ERA and a 2.93 FIP.

Morris brings a deep mix that can reach six pitches, led by a four-seamer that sits at 95 mph and touches 98 mph. He also works with an 84 mph slider, a 75 mph curveball and an 89 mph changeup, a repertoire that has helped him stand out even as the organization spent parts of three seasons trying to keep him healthy and consistent in Triple-A.

That stretch came with injuries and uneven results, but Morris also showed a steady ability to throw strikes in the minors, with walk rates between 4.5% and 8%. The upper-level numbers left some doubt about whether he can start in the majors, and the bullpen assignment in Toronto could be the best way to let his stuff play up while the Twins manage a roster hit from Lewis's knee sprain.

For now, the test is immediate. Morris heads into a three-game road trip with a chance to show whether a hard-throwing, six-pitch arm can turn a short-term call-up into something more lasting.
