Jake Knapp’s Anaheim Ducks fandom has reached the Masters stage. The lifelong Ducks fan from Costa Mesa, California, was shown wearing the team’s logo on his shirt collar and golf bag ahead of the tournament, while the club moved to give one lucky fan his signed bag.
The Ducks said of the reimagined logo, “There's so much to love about this iconic logo reimagined for an iconic tournament.” Fans could enter the giveaway by texting “GOLF” to 81883, a simple promotion built around a player whose support for the team has followed him from Orange County to golf’s biggest spring week.
Knapp turned professional in 2023 after a few years on the Korn Ferry Tour, but his connection to Anaheim stretches back much farther. He inked his sponsorship deal with the Ducks in 2020, the same year he reached the Korn Ferry Tour, and he has kept the arrangement ever since.
The sponsorship grew out of a round at Costa Mesa Country Club, where Knapp was paired with former Ducks general manager Bob Murray and team president Tim Ryan. He got to know both men over the years after that round, turning a casual introduction into a lasting tie between the golfer and the franchise he grew up supporting.
The timing gives the partnership added visibility. April 8, 2026, brought the social media reveal of Knapp’s Ducks-branded Masters gear, and the April 7 giveaway put the team’s logo in front of fans just as Masters week was getting underway. A video about his Ducks sponsorship had also been posted on April 10, 2024, offering a reminder that this connection has been public for years, not built overnight for a tournament photo op.
That is what makes the Ducks’ push feel more like an extension of Knapp’s own story than a marketing stunt. He has spent years wearing the team on his gear, and now, in one of golf’s most watched weeks, the partnership has a stage big enough for both the player and the logo.
