UFC Fight Night is coming back to Oklahoma City on Saturday, July 18, with an event at Paycom Center that marks the promotion’s first trip to Oklahoma in nearly 10 years. Officials announced the card in partnership with Paycom Center and Visit Oklahoma City.
The event will be the third UFC show in Oklahoma City history and the first in the region since UFC Fight Night: Chiesa vs. Lee on June 25, 2017. Oklahoma City also hosted UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs. Guillard on Sept. 16, 2009.
The lineup has not yet been announced, but UFC said the card is expected to feature stars, contenders and rising prospects. Chris Semrau said the community has asked for an event like this for years, a sign of how long the city has waited for the promotion to return.
That wait matters because Oklahoma City has hosted only two previous UFC events before this announced card, and the gap since 2017 has been unusually long for a market that has already shown it can support the sport. When the matchups are revealed, attention will shift from the return itself to whether the promotion brings a marquee main event to match the occasion.
